UNCG MLIS - Assertiveness Training Toolkit for Public Librarians
The Assertiveness Training Toolkit for Public Librarians was written and designed by me to help public librarians address they harassment they experience from patrons. This assignment was created as an Independent Work Study overseen by Dr. Hersberger, spring 2021. An accompanying autoethnography was written and provided the backbone of my research. This is the one project of which I am most proud.
Forsyth County Public Library - User Experience Report
After volunteering intermittently with the FCPL system from 2016 to 2021, I finally had the opportunity to work for the Central Branch Library in downtown Winston-Salem as a User Experience Intern. My time there was valuable as I worked with a much larger amount of patron surveys than my previous UX reports, putting this information into a spreadsheet then creating a report from patterns in the information. Below is the spreadsheet I created, along with official UX report given to FCPL. No sensitive patron information is shared. It is my hope that FCPL will find my work to be of value.
Duke University - Website Usability and Patron User Experience Reports
During my time as an intern for Duke University Libraries, I co-created and conducted lobby usability testing for library webpages. My intern-colleague and I first met with the Assessment and UX Department manager and manager of web development to better understand what aspects of the new or updated webpage needed to be assessed. We then created our script and lobby testing was conducted with university students and staff. The reports below were co-authored by us from those results.
